Kimberly Sowders is an experienced attorney. She provides counseling and legal services to a wide variety of clients, from individuals to established S&P 500 companies, on a range of issues, including corporate governance, securities law, transactions and commercial contracts.
Most recently, Kimberly served as a corporate and securities counsel at HCP, Inc. (NYSE: HCP), an S&P 500 real estate investment trust specializing in healthcare properties. She worked side by side with the executive and operational teams to manage the company's legal risks, implement effective corporate governance practices and address all aspects of general corporate and commercial matters.
Kimberly began her legal career at the international law firm of O'Melveny & Myers, LLP as a transactional counsel focusing on securities law, corporate governance and mergers & acquisitions. Her clients included global semiconductor and other technology companies, closely held private entities, start-ups and world-renowned real estate developers, among others.
